I'm surprised to hear you say you think The Sarah Connor Chronicles is shit... it seems to be getting nothing but praise everywhere I look. Everyone loves it and I can't figure out why. And you know me, I LOVE Terminator and even liked T3, but I couldn't make it past the second or third episode of Sarah Connor.
ReplyDeleteAbsolute shit.
Oh also, Metal Gear Solid is indeed one of the greatest games ever (I'd put it on my top ten list, but I think MGS3 is better). Last year I spent a week playing through all three MGS games back to back, and played through the first game on hard for the first time. Jesus H. Christ was it tough, I think I spent a full day just playing the final boss fight against Metal Gear Rex and Liquid Snake over and over.
ReplyDeleteok gents, first off rian you can indeed play split screen death match in call of duty 4 its under multiplayer under split screen. also if ricky has a head set I swore I played in a room with you... or someone sounded just like you which is way creepier.
ReplyDeleteas for the sarah conner chronicles I cant get past the glaring plot hole that if they do indeed stop judgement day as they want...that John's father will never be sent back in time and thus he will be old biffed out of existence. that was a back to the future II reference.also the cameron being a hot girl that is johns age can only end up akward in the end.
scott is 100% right MGS3 is better with the cold war back drop and big boss is the coolest.
have you guys discussed the One more/brand new day in spiderman?
I listened to most of the episodes at work today and there were like a hundred things I wanted to say but I cant remember...episode five was my favorite with savage and mention of me. keep up the good work guys
Scott & Joel - I saw the first episode of The Sarah Conner Chronicles and that was enough for me. I have plenty of complaints about it, but I'm not in the mood to type them all here. Perhaps in the future we'll delve into it further on the show.
ReplyDeleteAs far as MGS is concerned, MGS3 certainly has superior gameplay and graphics, but I prefer the music, characters, and most importantly the story in MGS1. The story of MGS1 is by far my favorite of any video game I've ever played, adding to my ability to pick it up and play through it any time.
Joel - I didn't read One More Day, and in fact haven't purchased a Spiderman comic since the 12 issue Mark Millar/Terry Dodson run, so we didn't discuss it and probably won't in much depth.
