  1. Rian you have to be dead inside to not see that The Jerk is hilarious the whole way through!!! The Faculty is badass, I don't think anyone can deny it, you forgot to mention that it's also Usher's breakthrough role, and I don't remember if you mentioned Robert Patrick and Famke Janssen. I think Jesse hit the nail on the head with Moulin Rouge, that is the ultimate guilty pleasure. I see a guilty pleasure movie as something that's completely the opposite of your usual taste and is embarassing to admit that you like. The Stuff is definitely a good choice, it is sooo sooo bad. And okay, D.E.B.S. is the ultimate guilty pleasure. I'm with Jesse, I love Vegas Vacation also, and gotta agree with Rian that Chill Factor is a really fun movie. Good episode, I enjoyed all the laughing and the slight increase in jokes. You guys are lucky my paycheck hasn't cleared yet, otherwise I would've been too busy with GTAIV to listen. Oh and I know we have to save this for next time, but Iron Man RAWKS!!!!!

  2. Like I said on the show, there are multiple definitions of the term "guilty pleasure", so I just tried to think of movies that I like which most people don't view in a terribly positive light. Also, as I said, I tried to go with some more obscure choices, otherwise my list would have probably been something like Hulk, Alien 3, Spiderman 3, and the two Matrix sequels. I couldn't necessarily say that my guilty pleasure movies are ones that I'm embarrassed to admit that I like, because the only movie that I'm even slightly unwilling to admit my enjoyment of is DEBS. Then again, I had a poster for that movie hanging on my wall for a long time, so it wasn't even that much of a secret to begin with. Glad you enjoyed the show. Why don't you give us your list of guilty pleasure movies?

  9. Fables is one of the best comics being published right now. It's the "Sandman" of the 2000s, in my opinion. The first trade is lackluster, but once you get into the main storyline, it becomes amazing. It's another comic that creates a whole thriving universe of characters and settings that becomes alive over the many many issues.

Jesse, Mark Buckingham's art is boring? Ridiculous. Mark Buckingham is awesome, he reminds me of Chris Bachalo before he went crazy with his style. Back when Chris Bachalo did those Death miniseries with Neil Gaiman, Buckingham was his inker and had to "ghost" some of his pages because Bachalo flaked out and didn't finish them. Because of that, Buckingham sort of adopted aspects of Bachalo's style at the time and that's why his stuff now looks sort of like a simplified version of Bachalo's early-90s style. I like.

  15. I'd be willing to give Fables another try if I, like Jesse, knew someone who could lend me the books. I'm pretty sure that I got at least partially into the second volume the last time that I tried to read it and wasn't terribly crazy about it. Then again, I didn't really get into 100 Bullets until the second trade, so maybe Fables would have the same effect. Alas, in my small circle of local comic-reading friends I do just about all of the lending.

  20. good episodes gents, I enjoy the warts and all approach of pointing out how many times the thing had crashed on ya.

I was never into the beatles until this year when my friend Tony burned my the ultimate collection. Gave it a listen and now really dig them. I was kind of always in the camp of it cant be as good as everyone says it is...its not the best music ever but its pretty damn good.

Jesse the across the universe soundtrack is awesome, Havent seen the movie and dont think I will but the cds are good. Be careful there's a watered down one disc version and a two disc version with everything track that one down.

dammit I listen at work and there are always a hundred things I want to post here but never can remember...

I love the jerk, it really is hilarious, come on Killah, Nathen Johnson was born a poor black child for christ sake.

after hearing the plot of chill factor, Jesus. I dont really have anything to add, just Jesus. people paid money to make that? biological weapon in cubba gooding Jr.'s ice cream truck!Jesus.

almost picked Fables up, but much like has been said the art didnt really grab me. if I really want to read it for the story I would but also dont know if the real world fairy tales is something I have to read.

whats with all the deleted Post? did savage finally go to far?

    Guilty Pleasure movies

    5. The Cutting edge- D.B sweeny plays an up and coming hockey player who after being sidelined with an eye injury cant play hockey anymore. He is hired to be the new figure skating partner for a spolied rich girl...hijinks insue. I dont know why I like this movie but I do, on the plus side it features none other then John Locke himself...Terry o'quinn as the girls father and he has a mustache.fear the pamchenko

    trailer-http://youtube.com/watch?v=Mrnd-rO456Q

    4. Rambo First Blood part two- I think first blood is a great movie period. The 1986 sequel is awesome for all the wrong reasons. according to the back of the dvd not only did james Cameron help write the screenplay but it was nominated for an oscar...for sound editing but an oscar none the less. Maybe its rambo killing half the russian army with one explosive arrow, some kurosin and a dead chicken...maybe its murdoc I'm coming to get you...what ever it is I love it.

    trailer-http://youtube.com/watch?v=nnTcdy5yPQs

    3. Friday The 13th part seven: The new blood- all of these flicks could be on the list They are terrible and a waste of film, but man do I love this franchise. why pick the seventh entry into the series...well my friends thats easy one word "telekinesis" thats right, tina shepard can see the future and levitate junk. althought this is the most edited of all the fridays, it marks Kane hodders first time donning the mask and some of the best Jason Makeup of all time.

    trailer- http://youtube.com/watch?v=XjpguRMWqW4

2.Lionheart- Jean claude van damn as an underground street fighter in LA, plays out exactly how you figure it does.with JCVD giving a spinning back kick to some massive killer fighter the bad rich people fly in to beat him. and watch the emotion as Jean claude breaks out the acting chops for the line "he was not enough strong for Jail"

    trailer- http://youtube.com/watch?v=pLfXRnxay80

    1. over the top- stallone again this time as a truck driver with dreams of being an arm wrestling champion. Add to that an evil father in law, an angry son and a bitter custody suit and you get pure magic. just remember the world meets nobody half way.

    trailer-
    http://youtube.com/watch?v=gB5iDUnx0iY

there are plenty more. stallone alone gets a few more for oscar, cobra, rocky IV (everyone loves it but man is it cheese, youtube the video "the speech that ended the cold war", that is proof enough)van damme for hard target and blood sport. texas chainsaw massacre three, the sandlot

there is nothing wrong with "that thing you do" that movie is awesome.

rian finally watched "the lookout"awesome movie man

  21. Take my word for it: If you're ever sitting around one day with absolutely nothing to do and you feel like you've watched all the movies you like one too many times, pop in Chill Factor and you'll have a blast. It's not good, it's just silly fun. How could it not be? The tag-line is "Two Guys, One Bomb, and a Whole Lot of Ice Cream".

Out of your selections for guilty pleasure movies, I've only seen First Blood Part II, but from what I know about the others and what you wrote about them, they sound like they truly deserve the term "guilty pleasure". My favorite part of the second Rambo film is that just as Rambo agrees to take the chick back to safety with him and it seems like they're falling in love, she stands up and is shot dead with an arrow. My macho side has never been given a greater boost than that.

Glad you liked The Lookout, Joel. I'm interested in just about anything Joseph Gordon-Levitt is in now that I've seen that and Brick. Word has it that he's been cast as Tetsuo in the upcoming live-action American Akira movie. I don't think it needs to be made, but I have to admit that I love that casting choice. He's also Cobra Commander in next year's live-action G.I. Joe movie, which is one of the only things that I'm looking forward to about it.

  22. yeah Joesph gordon levitt is really great. He was in that movie stoploss that came out not to long ago with ryan phillipe. Havent seen it yet but my sister said it was good.

He knew he was in G.I joe. amovie i'm excited for but know that will most likely be terrible. I cant picture Him Playing Cobra Commander but he'll probably pull it off

  24. Wait a minute...Rounders, 12 Angry Men, and Dances With Wolves are guilty pleasures?! 12 Angry Men is an amazing movie, I can't think of anything wrong with Rounders, and Dances With Wolves is like your favorite movie ever!
