  1. Oh man! I wish I had guest starred on this episode!

    ------

    HD for Dummies!!

Blu-Ray Disc has 50 GB capacity. HD-DVD was 30 GB.

1080p video files are pretty big. An episode of LOST would be about 6GB an episode I would guess. Alan (and now Google) tells me 1080p movies are about 8GB or so. However, that is ripped and optimized for the internet. By that logic, that would leave room for 6 Episodes per disc plus room for the space needed for special features (languages, subtitles, any other features) and to create the Blu-Ray build (menus, interactions, and functionality).

PS3 is the best Blu-Ray player. The quality is very good, and PS3 is capable of software updates unlike stand-alone players.

Sound Garden and Amazon sells brand new Blu-Rays for $15, sometimes less. Single movies are $30 tops. So Blu-Rays aren't that expensive anymore. I think I saw the Mad Men Blu-Rays for $10 more than the DVD set.

I will get Iron Man on Blu-Ray if it has all the special features as the DVD.

I liked Tropic Thunder. (I'm not an idiot)

Entourage was best seasons 1-3. 4 wasn't so good. 5 is better, but still not as good. The crew just doesn't make me laugh like they used to. I hate to admit it, but they are starting to annoy me. Jeremy Piven is still awesome.

  2. I almost said that Blu-ray can hold 50 GB, but I wasn't positive and when I got to thinking about it that sounded like too much. But there you go.
