ReplyDeletestill enjoying the show gentlemen. no offense...
I really enjoy the new segment where you each watch the same movie. It works a lot better then each of you going through what you've watched and giving your opinions. Although I think Jesse did a really good Job in the kick-ass discussion despite having not seen the movie, a good Job of getting into the convo, its more interesting the more the both of you are talking and going back and forth.
siege is good almost think it should be five issues
I don't think I've seen any movies you guys mentions.
I dont watch senfield but my brother loves it.
Hate richard corbens art, its like everything is on a planet where people are mercilessly attacked by bees and they are all puffy. also to much damn stippling.
Not a big fan of Training day I think it was me Jesse was referencing. I only saw it once but remember thinking there wasn't much to Denzel's character other then he was a crazy D-bag. No real payoff, and his King kong speech is so over the top its kind of sad...for a man to be parading around yelling about king Kong in a gritty crime story just didnt do it for me...maybe I need to rewatch it. Or maybe for my snoop dog fix Ill rewatch hood of horror. anything with Macy gray in it gets points taken away automatically....thats why spiderman 2 is better then the first!
ET sucks...walkie talkies or no walkie talkies.
six grade field trip was to a place called Skate town USA it was the mad notes
I can skate backwards on ice or the streets. I'm hardcore.
listening to Rians review of Brooklyn's finest I still think you would really enjoy OZ, there's some stuff with an undercover cop in the prison that is pretty awesome. its got crime, drugs and mr.echo feeds glass to an old mob boss. hoooray.
edward scissor hands is terrible. skateboard your purple haired self over to hot topic if you want to talk about that lame noise. dont bring it on the show.
Joel, I love reading your comments. They make my day.
ReplyDeleteIts easier to ask questions and be in a conversation about a movie I have at least some interest in. Rian watches some duds!
I'm not the biggest Corben fan but I don't hate him.
Loved Training Day. I will stand by it. Love how over the top Denzel was. It worked.
I'm impressed with your skating skillz. Yes thats with a Z.
We should have recorded you chastising Rian that one time for liking Eddie S-Hands.
I do what I can. I kind of tore into rian on that last one, sadly I don't believe with enough preemptive
ReplyDelete"no offenses" I'll have to consult my manual
I really hate eddie scissor hands I just can't wrap my head around it. I can only imagine his personal hygiene was a nightmare and that leather one piece he ran around in must have smelled horrible. Frankly if I came across a bizarre man living alone in a castle with scissors for hands the last thing I would do would be to bring him to my home. the first thing to cross my mind would be to escape making sure to note the location so to bring police, there must be bodies of young boys somewhere in a castle crawl space...
oh but look he's put holes in a waterbed hahaha we've all been there, having scissors for hands sure is a pain. the F is that movie about!!!!!
there have been some good stuff on the LOST chat But if any of it got out I think there would be a lot of angry people looking for me, with flaming torches and pitch forks.
I see you have no defense for Macy gray, but really what defense is there.
To simplify my feelings on Edward Scissorhands down into one simple sentiment, it's a fairy tale. It's not supposed to be logical, nor does it try to be. This does not mean that I like all fairy tales. This also does not mean that all movies should be forgiven for being illogical. I just happen to like the style, story, and characters in Edward Scissorhands. I think it's charming, fun, and entertaining.
ReplyDeleteThat said, did we even talk about that movie on the show, or is that entire topic just a layover from LOST chat?
Also, there's no such thing as too much stippling. You take that back!
you brought up tim burton and your enjoyment of eddie scissor hands when you guys discussed "alice in wonderland"
ReplyDeleteI'm well with in my comments section right to point out my dislike of it as mentioned in article 7A paragraph 2B subsection 24-9 of the sidetracked comments user agreement. I quote
"any movie mentioned no matter how briefly is of fair game and is subject to any long winded douchebagger like rants from any of its listeners, as long as personal attacks are preceded with the legally binding "no offense". "
fairy tale? gotcha so thats why its lame....ok I understand now....
