  1. Hey guys, I'm listening to your LOST podcast and really appreciating the timeliness of your discussion, having recorded it RIGHT after watching the series finale.

I wanted to throw this out there because you guys have a lot of questions and stuff that I'd like to discuss, particularly concerning stuff about the DHARMA Initiative.

Maybe in the week since the finale you guys have extensively been online and read interpretations of the finale and gotten your answers, and I know Jesse doesn't watch the show so he may not be too inclined to do this, but I would love to come on in a post-post LOST discussion if you guys would like to.

Just throwing that out there, with me also being a HUGE, HUGE fan of LOST.

  2. Good episode, guys. I listened to it today with Cristina (she's as big a LOST fan as I am) and we both enjoyed it.

  3. Thanks for the props.

The roundtable-style discussion is a really fun way to record. I'd like to work out some more of these type of multiple-guest shows in the future (and I'm sure Jesse would, too). Perhaps with some of the bigger film releases yet to come this year.

  4. Good job guys.

I think it was better that I didn't make it on to this episode because I was so flustered after watching the finale. I would have only wanted to sit back and listen to everyone else's opinions. I didn't really have my mind made up, and needed more time to reflect on what happened before I could give an honest opinion.

Now that time has passed, and I have thought it over, and heard other people's thoughts, I can say that I am satisfied with the ending. It is not nearly as good as I had hoped it would be, but I liked it.

I would say I agree with Rian the most. I wish we could have seen more with Dharma and in the end I wish everything was real. However, for that ending to truly work the series as a whole would have had to go in a few different directions. So, for what the series evolved into, the ending was fitting.

I understand the significance of all the constants finding each other, and while they were heart-felt, and some had neat elements to them, I thought most were corny. Sayid and Shannon? Really? I know they were on the island together but all he went through for Nadia is much more considerable and meaningful.

I liked everything that happened on the island. The fight scene between Jack and faux Locke was great. Kate's one-liner was great. I had mixed feelings about the plug and what made Desmond so special. I loved the very ending when Jack sees the plane, closes his eyes and dies.

So yeah, I liked LOST. It really made me frustrated at times, but every season seemed to have a great finale that left me wanting more. I'll miss the characters more than anything else and I hope to see more of my favorite actors in the future.

  5. The scene where Claire/Kate/Charlie remember their lives = awesome & touching.
