Wow, Jesse. I think you are way off on that prediction for movies coming out this week. My prediction:
ReplyDelete1. The Expendables
2. Eat, Pray, Love
3. Scott Pilgrim
4. The Other Guys
5. Inception
My prop bet: The number of guys walking out of Eat, Pray, Love and seeing jubilant dudes high-fiving, walking out of The Expendables then instantly hating their girlfriends.
Who knows, though. Maybe I'll end up being way off. I know my ex-girlfriend loves the book Eat, Pray, Love but I don't know if she'd really be interested in seeing the movie. I think it might depend more on the fact if you like Julia Roberts or not.
The United States of Tara just finished it's second season and I believe is coming back for a third on Showtime. Toni Collette has won an Emmy and a Golden Globe for best actress as Tara. The intro is super-indie, just like Juno's and even that won an Emmy. I watched an episode with my roommate Becky. It wasn't horrible, but I had no desire to watch it again. I would say it is definitely for girls, and for guys like my roommate Chris, who's girlfriends force them to watch it and they have to pretend they like it.
I like that you think I'm way off and then switch and think that you maybe way off. lol
ReplyDeleteI think people love their Will Ferrell. I saw Scott Pilgrim and LOVED IT but I have no idea how it will perform. My list as of today would probably go like this.
1. The Other Guys
2. Eat, Pray, Love
3. The Expendables
4. Inception
5. Scott Pilgrim
Like I said on the podcast, if I could choose it Scott Pilgrim would be number one.
Well I'm not going to lie, my predictions are mixed with a little wishful thinking.
ReplyDeleteIf we could monetize this podcast like Kevin Smith has monetized SModcast, I think our first order of business would be to pay Brian to fact check our shows before they're released.
