ReplyDeleteyou should check out Swamp Thing 2, it's so much better. it's still campy and goofy and technically "bad" but it's fun and has cool effects.
i'm pretty sure the only reason Swamp Thing is labeled horror is because Wes Craven directed it. it's like old George Romero movies that aren't horror at all but they slap "horror" on them because nobody bothers to divorce Romero from horror.
i think Alice Cable must be a nod to Abby Cable and Matt Cable in the comics. Abby is formerly Abby Arcane, Arcane's daughter, who marries Matt Cable who's a gov't agent guy or something. in Return of Swamp Thing, Abby Arcane is the love interest character. this is really boring, i'm sorry. SNORE.
i'm not too familiar with Adrienne Barbeau but i think her big thing is she was married to John Carpenter for a while and starred in a couple of his movies, The Fog and Escape From New York.
I've always known the name "Adrienne Barbeau" in kind of the same way I know the name "Bo Derek". I couldn't tell you what she's done, but I know she was kind of a sex symbol for a past generation.
