ReplyDeleteI agree with pretty much everything Rian and Doug said. It's clear that the three of us have seen the majority of the Bond films and Jesse hasn't. (I haven't forced myself to watch the bad Roger Moore ones I haven't seen yet.) Don't worry Jesse, because I do agree with you in the fact that I don't think they delved too far into James Bond's backstory to ruin anything substantial, and I didn't feel Kincade to be a sentimental character.
Having said that, I would have preferred if they never delved into it at all.
I loved the movie unconditionally up until they arrive at Skyfall. I was very aware that it was not a traditional James Bond situation, but the action was great, and it wasn't enough to knock it down a star for me.
I was screaming the theme song artists and their respected movies at you in my head at the end of the podcast! Haha.
I said it before, and I'll say it again, more Doug Miller!
I'm glad that you feel the same as Doug and Rian and yet it didn't ruin it for you.
DeleteI'm coming from it at a total different perspective than you, Doug, and Rian so again I had no problem with where it went.
I just rewatched Casino Royal and the ending of the was pretty personal and small in scale. I don't know I guess I will never get it.
