  1. i disagree with Rian that you shouldn't bother with Tokyo Drift, i think it's great. i haven't seen the series in its entirety in a while but i personally think TD is possibly the second best after Fast 5, and i'm saying this as the world's biggest Vin Diesel fan as he's not even in the movie except the end.

TD is also cool because it's a sequel to all the other movies, all the others are prequels to Tokyo Drift which takes place at some unspecified point in the future.

i loved hearing you guys rip into these DC movies!! >:D

    1. Is the only reason that Tokyo Drift is considered a sequel to the rest of the Fast & Furious franchise just the fact that Sung Kang dies in Tokyo Drift and then shows up later in Fast 4 and 5? I don't remember any other evidence that it takes place in the future at some point, and until Kang popped up in the last 2 movies, I don't remember anyone saying that it wasn't the 3rd film chronologically. Not that it really matters, but the whole idea of Tokyo Drift NOT taking place between 2 and 4 seems to be a bit of convenient retconning to explain away the fact that they felt like casting a guy who was already dead in a later movie.

  2. yeah, it's because Han dies in TD but is alive in 4 and 5, and at the end of 5 he says something like "i might head over to Tokyo" or something, some Tokyo Drift nod.
