There are about three zombie movies that are really must-see. The original Night of the Living Dead, the original Dawn of the Dead, and 28 Days Later. Everything else is a rip-off of one of those. Which isn't to say they're not entertaining, but those three are the best.
ReplyDeleteAs for vampire movies... um. I can't think of a single good one. But Rian, have you read I Am Legend? That's the most original and entertaining vampire story I've ever seen.
What about Day of the Dead? I'd call that a must-see. It's my favorite of the original Romero trilogy.
ReplyDeleteI've never read I Am Legend, but I've seen the films The Last Man On Earth, The Omega Man, and I Am Legend. Of the three my favorite is probably The Last Man On Earth with Vincent Price, and from what I understand it's the most similar to the book.
Oh yeah, and the other Vampire movie I like that I couldn't remember on the show is Near Dark. Flawed, but fun.
