Well guys, I saw Andre's and Kiran's names, I'm sitting at my desk at work, I had nothing else to do, so I decided to listen to your podcast again. Just one. You guys should post the running time of each episode in the notes.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, wow. It's hard to believe that you guys are 60+ episodes in and the structure of this show is still MUCH to be desired.
Every single one of you at some point sounded bored, distant, and at times, at a complete loss for words while someone talked about a subject everyone else knew nothing about. BO-RING.
No offense, guys. It commendable that you're still producing a show. It's just obviously still not for me at all.
Thanks for your words of encouragement.
ReplyDeleteNo one forced you to listen to it. We are growing out listeners so someone likes listening.
This show you listened to was a little different than the norm. Recording with 4 people can be difficult because you don't want to talk over the other too much.
If you download the episode, you can see the running time,
And if you are that bored with it then don't listen for the full 2 hours. All of our shows run from 1:45 - 2 hours long.
Again, no one made you listen to it. And we had fun recoding it.
Hey dude, people had fun making 'Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle.' I'm not harping on anyone personally.
ReplyDeleteI wasn't bitching about having to listen to the show.
I was expressing my surprise at how little the show has progressed, in my own opinion.
I think a good reason the show halts and lurches so much is because of the black-or-white lines that are drawn in the sand whenever anyone has a difference of opinion. Examples would be some of the awkward pauses in this episode when talking about Aliens and something else. Probably Dark Knight or Watchmen.
A lot of podcasts list their running time, it is only a suggestion.
You can take or leave this criticism. It's probably lighter than any anonymous criticism left on the web. I stated before -nothing personal.
P.S. That 100 Bullets game did NOT LOOK GOOD, btw. Better left unmade...
P.P.S. I apologize if I've offended you guys. I don't have to tell you what I think of anything under the sun, whether I feel it's constructive or not (and clearly every time I've said anything about Sidetracked I always piss one or both of you off), and I know you guys do it more for you. It's just not for me, as I've stated before.
ReplyDeleteJust forget I said anything.
As a regular listener/guest of the podcast, I think I can say that this podcast is clearly meant for people who know Rian and Jesse personally, and no one else. I can't imagine it being interesting to non-Kubies or parents of the participants. The way I see it, is it's almost like eavesdropping on a conversation at the school or at a Frat house party, but it's not going to be interesting 100% of the time.
