great to hear you liked the movie, Jesse! it's one of my favorite movies ever, i could totally review it without watching it again i've seen it so many times.

one thing you guys haven't mentioned, and which seems to me often overlooked about much of Verhoeven's stuff, is how awesome the women characters are. in Total Recall and Starship Troopers there's no damsel-in-distress bullshit at all, the ladies kick just as much ass as the dudes. i love Melina in Total Recall, there's one part where Arnold has to save her but the character is never demeaned by it or solely there as a conquest, and she saves Arnold's ass just as many times if not more. i love when she casually pushes Sharon Stone's corpse to the side, haha.

with the Minority Report thing, i remember hearing/reading that the Total Recall psychic mutants were the ones who would be predicting the future like the pre-cogs in the Tom Cruise version. Quaid would have organized the mutants into some kind of pre-cognitive police force on Mars or something like that.

    1. Thanks Ross! It was great! Definitely my favorite of Verhoeven's and I loved Starship Troopers as well.
I didn't even notice until you brought it up, but in all three movies we reviewed the woman characters were all really strong. I dig it.
I would love it if they the same people made the sequel, Minority Report. I so want to see that.
